Women and Men United

WMU (formerly known as Women’s Missionary Union) is now known as Women and Men United in missions.  WMU began in North Carolina with the first official president being Fannie E.S. Heck, one of our own church members. WMU supports GA’s, RA’s, and Mission Friends and collects three (3) annual offerings to meet needs locally and globally.  The descriptions for these small groups and contact information are listed below.

Prayer Shawl Ministry Group

Love of knitting has been combined into a prayer ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace. Our prayer shawl ministry, began in 2006, provides knitted or crocheted prayer shawls as reminders of God's presence and our prayers to friends and neighbors who are going through trying times. These shawls are delivered by ministers and lay leaders alike. For more information about prayer shawls, contact the church office.
