THE GREAT COURSES

Did you make a New Year’s resolution to learn a new language or start a new hobby? Would you like to take a deep dive into the history of Christianity? Or are you just looking for something to do inside during these cold winter days?

The FBC library is here to help! Thanks to a generous donor, we now have a collection of DVDs from The Great Courses, covering topics from history to psychology to learning Japanese. Interested in the history of railways? Statistics? How music and mathematics relate? Or do you just want to take a tour of Ireland or the Metropolitan Museum of Art from the comfort of your sofa? The Great Courses offer all these subjects and more.

Most courses include two to six DVDs along with a workbook (be sure to sign the checkout card from both the book and the DVD case.) Look for The Great Courses collection sign on the endcap shelves in front of Warren Howell’s office, and start 2026 by engaging your mind!
