PERSONAL INFO REMOVED FROM ALL CHURCH COMMUNICATIONS

It has been brought to our attention that once again, several church members have received texts and emails supposedly from different staff members and/or congregants asking for gift cards, pdfs of our church directory, money, and various other strange requests. As always, please do not respond—this is a scam of some kind! Sadly these efforts have become more and more common in many churches and businesses. Never respond to any communication you are uncertain whether it really is from the person from whom it claims to be.

Because of the frequency of our own data breaches, we have decided to remove our church directory from the website. Also, beginning today, all personal emails and phone numbers will be removed from any publication we send from the church. While this creates headaches for those of us who appreciate a simple hyperlink, we’re trying our best to do what we can to protect your information from getting compromised. From now on, please contact the church office (919-832-4485) for any specific phone number or email address for any of our congregants. We appreciate your understanding, and please let us know if something like this happens to you.
