Our senior adult group, The Thirty-Niners (taking their name from comedian Jack Benny who claimed to be forever 39 years old), meets on Thursday mornings from September through May for a brief program and lunch. Anyone age 50 and up is welcome to join this group of active adults. The group participates in community service and missions activities, including making Christmas stockings for children through the Salvation Army, sorting clothing for the FBC Clothing Ministry, assisting in prep for Toy Joy, and sponsoring two children in Honduras through Sharefish. In addition to periodic day trips to local points of interest, the group sometimes takes two- or three-day trips to other NC cities and neighboring states.
