College Ministry

Our local college ministry includes students from NC State, Meredith, Peace, and Wake Tech.  Some of our students grew up at First Baptist, and some found us after starting school.  Through a mix of weekly and annual activities, we strive to connect, support, challenge and grow as a group.

Our college Sunday school is called “The Wilderness.”  It meets at 9:45 and includes a mix of students and recent graduates. Students engage in different structures for the class, including topical studies, in-depth examination of scripture, and book studies.  Other college activities have included a summer and winter retreat, lunches and dinners, and an annual service trip.  That trip rotates between domestic and international settings, offering a mix of opportunities for students to serve and learn.  College students are also actively involved in the wider life of the church, attending churchwide retreats, serving on committees, and leading children.
