In April, we invite you to join us for a two-week book study of I Think You’re Wrong (But I’m Listening) by Sarah Stewart Holland and Beth Silvers. During Centerpoint on Wednesday evenings, April 8 and 15, from 6–7:15pm, Holly Ivel will lead our book discussion as we unpack the challenges of political conversations. In a time when conversations about politics and public life often feel tense or divisive, this thoughtful book explores how we can engage across differences with humility, curiosity, and grace. Rather than asking us to abandon our convictions, the authors invite readers to practice listening well, seeking understanding, and building relationships with people who see the world differently.
Whether you’ve already read the book or are simply interested in learning how to have healthier conversations in a polarized world, you are welcome to join us. Together we’ll reflect on how our faith calls us to approach disagreement with compassion, courage, and a commitment to community. A limited number of copies will be available in the church library in the coming days, or you may purchase your own. Email Leah Reed with any questions!
