This fall, we are delighted to welcome Will Woodson as a communications intern at First Baptist! Serving with us as part of his coursework at William Peace University, he will be gaining hands-on experience while also lending his gifts to our church’s communications ministry. Throughout the semester, you may see Will’s work in a variety of places, including occasional articles for the Rose Window Weekly and posts on our social media channels. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of Will’s learning experience and look forward to sharing his contributions this fall.
Meet Will:
William “Will” Woodson is a senior at William Peace University majoring in communications. Born and raised in Raleigh, he attended Partnership Elementary, Centennial Campus Middle School, and Broughton High School. He has also worked in the local community, including at Chick-Fil-A and Uncle Julio’s where he worked in customer service at both jobs. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling to Myrtle Beach, the mountains and other interesting places. Will has had a connection to First Baptist Church since his early childhood, having stayed in the Infant Toddler Center. Some of his favorite memories of the church are participating in the children's program at Christmas and the Easter egg hunts on the Capitol grounds. For his community service hours during his first semester classes, he chose to collect and donate food to the “people’s pantry” at Peace and he also has helped on community clean-up days at First Baptist, where he washed the offering plates and participated in other clean-up activities. Now, he is taking part in writing for the newsletter and is excited to continue to be a part of this community. |
