CLOTHING MINISTRY UPDATE

On behalf of the clothing ministry, we wanted to share our gratitude for the continued and consistent support of our congregation.  As usual, you responded quickly and generously to our summer requests for replenishing gaps in summer clothing, allowing us to meet the needs of our guests these past two months.

We will continue to collect summer clothing through August (especially men’s athletic shorts and pants; casual shirts; women’s XS, small, and medium items; and children’s summer items) and then begin transitioning to fall clothing after our Labor Day break.

We also wanted to share a new opportunity to volunteer in our ministry.  We have noticed a recent increase in new guests who are coming with little ones (ages birth to 5) on Monday mornings. Some parents could use an extra hand to help shepherd the children to stay near them while shopping. We thought it would be helpful to have some “guest assistants” to pair with these moms to provide support and help them have a successful experience, while also keeping their children safe in our space.
