THIS WEEK AT CENTERPOINT

October 9: The FBC youth will report and reflect on their mission experiences during the summer.

October 16: This week, participants may again choose from two options. Option 1 will be part two of a small-group discussion on the topic of “How To Know a Person,” based on a podcast interview between Kate Bowler of Duke Divinity School and David Brooks of the NY Times. Option 2 will be an opportunity to engage in the practice of a contemplative walk in the downtown Raleigh neighborhood.

October 30: This week’s program will be the third and final session on the topic “How to Know a Person,” and another opportunity for a contemplative walk.

Participants will use a podcast interview as a catalyst for discussing how to have authentic conversations about faith in a context of diverse points of view. Track 2 will be A Prayer Walk Experience in Downtown Raleigh. Small groups will participate in a contemplative walk in the downtown neighborhood with an opportunity for sharing observations and reflections on the experience. (The FBC sanctuary will serve as a backup space in case of rain.)
