2020 Stewardship Emphasis – Do More Serve More Church More

Here is the church and here is the steeple.  Open the door and there are all the people…

The church is always with us; we literally carry it in our hands wherever we go. It’s with us when we grocery shop, work out at the Y, and walk through our neighborhoods. You see, our church is more than a building on a corner in downtown Raleigh. Our church is all of us.

We are the church.

And we church in every aspect of our lives.

At the center of FBC Raleigh – what brings us all together – is our shared calling. The shared calling that we are led to serve Jesus – to be his hands and feet, every minute of every day. To fulfill this calling in 2020, FBC Raleigh will open our doors in many ways.

We’ll church together through worship, the clothing ministry, mission trips to New York, Honduras, and Birmingham, And Also with ’Cue, and our continued outreach with our neighbors in downtown Raleigh. We’ll church intergenerationally and we’ll nurture our children and youth as they find their own ways to church in the world.

For us to do this – to move and build relationships through the city, the state, and abroad – we need you to come along with us.

This is not something FBC Raleigh can do unless each member joins in – not only as leaders and participants, but also as partners in the investment of these programs.

This year let’s work together to serve more, do more, church more.

Our finance committee is proposing a very slight decrease for 2020, bringing the total budget to $1,586,646. The proposed budget was presented at the October church conference and, when pledge cards have been returned to the church, the budget will be presented again for approval by our congregation.

For your review, copies of the full budget are available in the church library and in the members only section of our website, You may also request a copy by calling the church office at 919-832-4485.

There are many ways to make your weekly or monthly gift to the church.  The Sunday Morning offering plate is still a good tradition, but if you want to use a credit card, try the kiosk in the library.

Secure online giving is an option through PayPal or VANCO, our giving site.  Find out more at  or click on option on bottom of this page.

If you wish to adjust your commitment, please contact our Financial Administrator so your records will be accurate.
