Pre-Kindergarten Music Activity

Kindergarten Music Activity

Wednesdays (late August to early May)

5:45 — 6:40 p.m. in the fall; 6:45 – 7:30 p.m. in the spring

Preschool Suite

The Pre-K Music group and the Kindergarten Music group participate in the annual Hanging of the Greens service.  All three of the preschool music groups participate in the end-of-year Music Celebration.

Music Makers Choir (1st and 2nd graders)

Wednesdays (late August to early May)

5:45 — 6:40 p.m. in the fall; 6:45 – 7:30 p.m. in the spring

In addition to providing worship leadership several times throughout the school year, the Music Makers Choir participates in the annual Hanging of the Greens service and the end-of-year Music Celebration.

Young Musicians Choir (3rd – 5th graders)

Wednesdays (late August to early May)

5:45 — 6:40 p.m. in the fall; 6:45 – 7:30 p.m. in the spring

Room 311

The Young Musicians Choir provides worship leadership several times during the school year as well as participating in the annual Hanging of the Greens service and the end-of-year Music Celebration.  Students who have completed grades 4 and 5 are also invited to participate in a summer music camp, CANTUS, held on the campus of Pfeiffer University.

The Youth Bell group rings in worship several times a year in addition to ringing for the annual end-of-year Music Celebration.

Youth Choir

Sundays (late August to early May)

High School:  5:00 – 6:00 p.m. (Room 310)

Middle School:  6:30 – 7:30 p.m. (Room 310)

The Youth Choir provides worship leadership several times throughout the school year, including participation in the annual Hanging of the Greens service during Advent.  The group also regularly participates in the Festival by the Sea, sponsored by the CBF of South Carolina.

Music for Adults

Evening Bells

Wednesdays (late August through May)

6:45 – 7:30 p.m. in the fall; 5:45 – 6:40 p.m. in the spring

Room 307

This group rings 5 octaves of English Handbells and 4 octaves of choir chimes.  They provide worship leadership several times each year, including playing for the annual Hanging of the Greens service during Advent.  They also participate annually in the Capital Area Bell Festival, sponsored by The Raleigh Ringers.  Members of this group also participated in a music mission trip to Athens, Greece.

Sanctuary Choir

Wednesdays (weekly)

7:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Room 310

This group provides regular worship leadership in addition to offering special music programs during the year.  This group periodically has participated in special events and mission opportunities, including singing for Christmas at Biltmore, singing for the Baptist World Alliance (in Birmingham, England).
